Lloydminster and District Co-op (Lloyd Co-op) is pleased to announce construction of a brand-new Co-op car wash, plus space for future retail development on Highway 17 south.

Located on the corner of 12 Street and 50 Avenue in Lloydminster, SK, this development features multiple opportunities for service including car wash – featuring both automatic and wand wash bays – pet wash, and small convenience store.

“Today, we’re once again affirming our commitment to invest right here at home where it matters most,” shared Peter Brown, Lloyd Co-op CEO. “Lloyd Co-op has served local members in this region for almost 110 years, and we’re excited to continue our path of service with the south side announcement. Members own the Co-op, and a wand wash and automatic car wash offering will blend beautifully with our existing products and services. As our community continues to grow, the additional space allows for future retail development.”

Car wash offerings include an array of options new to local Co-op shoppers, including:
• 10-bay barn style wand wash with in-bay vacuum systems specifically crafted for the do-it-yourself customer;
• 2-bay, touchless automatic system, like the existing offering at Ironwells Co-op Gas Bar at 4031-44 Street;
• self-serve pet wash units;
• a small convenience store with cleaning supplies, confectionary items, and more.

Locally, Lloyd Co-op employs almost 250 individuals. This build will foster employment and stimulate growth, with up to 10 new jobs created to serve Co-op members and customers.

The project is expected to break ground in early 2023 and is set to open in 2024.
